| Individualism is a rapidly spreading phenomenon that is permeating and inspiring various cultures across the world. Nowadays, the right to be different is a statement of liberty. Nevertheless, in order to appreciate our individual differences we must first acknowledge our collective similarities. This nurtures a vital need for mutual understanding, cultural tolerance and heightened awareness of knowledge and learning on a worldwide basis in our culturally diverse world.
As an advocate of international understanding and enhanced international insight, SNA Educational Group acknowledges this philosophy of “Appreciation of diversity through the discovery of similarities” and strives to bridge the cultural gap between North America and Asia. In cooperation with the Sino-North American Education Association, we strive towards developing enduring interests in Asian cultures, politics, history and educational systems across North America and vice versa by fostering global interscholastic friendships through our educational programs. These programs are designed with the personal enrichment of students and their mentors in mind, to encourage the cross-cultural examination and appreciation of cultures so vastly different from their own. We believe that relief from misconception, mistrust and isolation between Asian and North American cultures can be achieved through mutual familiarization, and that the best place to start is with education, one of the fundamentals of civilization.
In addition to this, we also aim to foster good will among countries and their respective cultures; therefore, we are actively involved in the organization and provision of charitable programs for educational and humane causes across Asia. |
